For decades, Quaker Center has offered unique overnight summer camp experience for children and young people. Coming to Quaker Center Camp is an unforgettable experience of friendship, service, art and fun in the redwoods. Campers are also introduced to Quaker practices such as collective silence and group decision-making.
Quaker Center Camps are a collaboration between the Ben Lomond Quaker Center and the Youth Programs of Pacific Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
While this special camp is under the care of Friends (Quakers) and takes place in a Friendly setting of peace, inclusivity, service and mutual respect, campers do not have to be Quaker to participate. Everyone is welcome at Quaker Center camp!
The first session, for younger campers, includes many of the most well-loved elements of Quaker Center camp: a group art project, a service project, visits to a river and a swimming pool, and a wonderful day and sunset at the beach. Back at Quaker Center, campers will enjoy lots of games, hiking (including a silent night-hike to the labyrinth), campfires and the famous QC camp dance party. We’ll also learn about the magic of silence, practice group decision-making, and celebrate our time together.
The second session, for older teens, will also include some of the traditional QC Camp pieces (you’re never too old for campfire songs), and have a deeper emphasis on the meaning of service. Campers will travel together to service projects at social justice organizations in our area, and get a chance to learn about them and participate in their work. We may have a lakeside barbecue, take a group hike in a state park, and watch the sun go down together at the beach.

Camp Activities
Ben Lomond Quaker Center’s Camps are built around fostering a sense of community, inclusivity and groundedness for campers. With activities like evening camp fires, silent walks, and service work, we seek connection with nature and mindfulness along with connecting with one another.
Service Work
Service at Quaker Center Camps has taken a variety of forms over the years. We’ve worked with The Homeless Garden project, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Grey Bears in the past. On site, we’ve done a variety of projects in the garden, trails and more. Through working together for a common and positive mission, campers develop a sense of stewardship, responsibility and faith in one another.

Costs and Scholarships
Same as last year. Again in 2026, the cost of Quaker Center Camp will be $1,000 per camper.
Camperships (camp scholarships). Some financial support is available from the Pacific Yearly Meeting Youth Programs Fund. We are requesting that families pay what they are able, and submit an application for financial support using the link to the form below. If you are interested in a Campership please register your camper for camp first, and indicate on the registration form that you will be applying for a camp scholarship.
This year, due to a wonderfully busy project season for youth programs, fewer scholarship funds are available than in previous years. We remain committed in our intention that every camper who wants to come to Quaker Center Camps can do so! We ask families to pay what they are able to without causing hardship, and we invite those who can to consider making a donation to support Camp scholarships.
Use of Annual Meeting Passes. Campers who are connected with a Quaker Meeting that has a Quaker Center Annual Meeting Pass may use the Pass for a $300 credit towards camp registration. The Meeting Pass discount is good for one camper per Meeting.
Don’t have a camper of your own right now, but want to help get a kid to camp? The Pacific Yearly Meeting Youth Programs Fund and a Camp Scholarship Fund held by Quaker Center (the L.I.R. Endowment) are both committed to removing financial obstacles to getting campers to camp. You can make a donation here to support these funds.
