Quaker Center Program Costs
Ben Lomond Quaker Center’s mission and most central leading is to offer our Quaker programs, events, camps and gatherings to all who wish to attend.
We believe that these programs can provide transformative experiences, and that cost should not be a barrier to participation in them.
To that end, we operate with the following policies:
Our Programs Are Available to Everyone
Whether your Quaker, interested in Quakerism, or simply interested in the content of a Quaker Center program for entirely different reasons, all interested persons are welcome at our programs. Income that Quaker Center may or may not receive through program registration fees is secondary to our mission of hosting and facilitating these activities.
Quaker Center program fees are on a sliding scale.
This means that each person or family can determine how much they want to pay. We hope that the suggested amounts below help you to decide this, and that each person will contribute an amount that they are genuinely comfortable with.
Children and teens are free.
Children and teens may attend our weekend retreat programs with their parents or guardians for free. Older teens (18-19 year-olds) are also welcome to attend for free.
A note on changing program rates.
You may have noticed recent changes to our program fee amounts and descriptions. The Quaker Center board and staff are in ongoing discernment and experimentation with fee structures that we hope will encourage more people to participate in our programs.
Using an Annual Pass?
If you participate in a Quaker Meeting community, your Meeting may have an Annual Meeting Pass that you can use. If you’re not sure, ask us.
We want you to join us.
It is okay to contribute an amount other than those in the suggested amounts below. Please let us know if you have any questions about Quaker Center program costs.
In-person weekend retreat programs
The suggested cost ranges below are for both two- and three-day weekend programs.
Standard rate: $200-350
Welcome rate: $75-150
Online programs
Quaker Center will continue to offer online series programs throughout the year – check our program calendar for dates. These series offer three to six weekly sessions of 90 minutes each, exploring different aspects of a topic.
Standard rate: $100-250
Welcome rate: $50-75
In-person five-day retreat programs
At this time, Family Work Camp and our Year-End Retreat are our five-day programs.
Standard rate: $250-400
Welcome rate: $100-200
Individual and Meeting Annual Passes
Would you like to come to any Quaker Center program whenever you wanted? Read more about getting an Individual Annual Pass, and do just that. Your Meeting can also get an Annual Meeting Pass, and send a member of your community to any program for a year.
